Paule Ka was created in 1987 by Serge Cajfinger, founder, president and stylist of the brand.
Already back in 1974, aged 19, Serge Cajfinger founded a fashion boutique in Lille (in the north of France) with his mother and aunt Paule.
As an admirer of Jacky Kennedy, Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly, Serge Cajfinger is creating a very elegant style for a bubbly woman with allure. Discreet luxury is of prime importance, the only outward sign is expressed in the choice of the finest fabrics.
Since creating the brand PAULE KA in 1987, Serge CAJFINGER, founder, President and Stylist, has lead the company from one success to another.
Already back in 1974, aged only 19, Serge CAJFINGER, founded a fashion boutique in Lille with his mother and aunt Paule. This was the beginning of a story, his first footsteps into the métier.
PAULE KA is the desire for one thing and its opposite : chic, simple clothing which is nonetheless, rich in ideas. Since 1998, PAULE KA is also accessories. The PAULE KA wicker basket very quickly became a “ classic ” of the brand. It is already a must for the refined woman around the world. Serge CAJFINGER sketches PAULE KA. Season after season, touch by touch, he has established his own stylistic vocabulary. With stores in Paris, Lyon, Strasbourg, Marseille, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Antwerpen and Brussels the designer intends to open up more stores in a controlled, brand-conscious way across Europe. The first UK store was opened in December 2000 and since then, the number of PAULE KA stores has tripled and now has 32 shops worldwide, with the biggest success in Asia, particularly Japan, which has 15 shop in shop. A second London flagship store had openned in October 2004 in Sloane Street, joining the existing Grafton Street site, off New Bond Street. The new space will be one of the brand’s largest European stores to date, stocking all ready-to-wear and accessories, including limited editions created specifically for the UK market. PAULE KA has championed its belgian clients by opening a first shop in Anvers and a second site in the heart of Brussels.
