Frida Weyer’s debut collections - Frida Weyer and Frida Weyer Light Collection - have caused a sensation as her lavish gowns and romantic dresses send a fresh breeze through the fashion world.
Following her fashion degree from ESMOD in Berlin, Frida worked in buying, sales and public relations in the industry. Her debut show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin January 09 was in the framework of the “Designer for Tomorrow” award by Peek & Cloppenburg for which she was a finalist. Frida also won the “PREMIUM Young Designers Award”. In July 2009 she successfully presented in her right at the Chamaeleon Variété Theatre and shortly thereafter was awarded with the “Bunte New Faces Award” - the most prestigious fashion award in Germany.
Her gowns have been worn by German celebrities including Natalia Avelon, Jette Joop and Kathrin Thormann. Karl Lagerfeld photographed actress Natalia Avelon wearing a Frida Weyer creation for Stern magazine.
